JUNE 20: Arrive at Raxaul station or Kathmandu Airport and transfer to your pre-booked accommodation in Kathmandu (1350 m) , check into your hotel, and after that, you can indulge in the exploration of this city and also walk in the local markets. Stay overnight in Kathmandu on a twin sharing basis.

JUNE 21:  You are going to have an enjoyable day today since you will be participating in the sightseeing tour of Kathmandu. Have some breakfast and then explore the Pashupatinath Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and the Budhanilkantha Temple, which is also recognized as the Sleeping Vishnu. After sightseeing, return to your hotel and have lunch there. Later, take some rest for a while and then attend the briefing session in the evening. Stay overnight in your hotel.

JUNE 22 :  Have some breakfast and then start your drive towards Timure (1955 m) via Shyabru Besi. It has to be noted that the road conditions, as well as the drive, might not be favorable at some spots during this drive, thus, this journey shall prove to be a little tiring and hectic for you. On your arrival at Timure, check into your booked accommodation there. You are free to spend your remaining time in leisure. Overnight stay at your accommodation, which would be a basic dormitory-styled guesthouse.

JUNE 23: Time for you to finally commence your Yatra towards Mount Kailash. Enjoy some delectable breakfast and then start your drive in order to reach Rasuwagadhi, where our local representative will be completing the required immigration and customs formalities. Once done, cross the border for a walk and finally enter in Tibet land. From there, you will have to board the Chinese bus, dropping you at Keyrong (4118 m). Stay overnight at a dormitory-styled lodge/guesthouse in Keyrong.

JUNE 24: Today, wake up in your comfort zone since you are free to spend your time the way you want this day. Have some breakfast, and then you can participate in a small trek while walking amidst the marketplaces and other local areas in Keyrong. Then, attend a short briefing. Stay overnight in Keyrong at a dormitory-style guesthouse.

JUNE 25:  Today drive through dramatic Tibetan landscapes with distant views of snow-capped peaks. Cross rivers and high passes like Lalung La (5,050m) before reaching the town of Saga (4640 m).  Stay overnight in Saga at a dormitory-style guesthouse.

JUNE 26: Today is going to be really important since you are going to have the first Darshan of pious Lake Manasarovar (4590 m). Start your day with a tasty breakfast, and then start your drive in order to reach the holy Manasarovar. While on your way, give a midway halt at the Mayumla Pass (4800m) to complete all your customs formalities there. You can have the first sight of the spiritual Mount Kailash from Lake Manasarovar’s shore.  Before arriving at Lake Manasarovar, you will have to complete some immigration formalities and, once done, start your drive to reach your pre-booked guesthouse (whether we would have to change the vehicles and travel in the local buses or not, this decision will depend on the permission from local authorities there). You will be completing more than half, i.e., 75%, of Lake Manasarovar’s circumambulation. In the evening, you can spend some time having a view of the holy Lake Manasarovar. Once done, return back to your accommodation beside Lake Manasarovar and then stay overnight there.

JUNE 27:  Perform a short ritual dip and puja at Mansarovar in the morning. Then drive to Darchen (4575), the base camp of Mt. Kailash. Free time to rest or prepare for the upcoming parikrama (kora).

JUNE 28:  Begin your spiritual Mount Kailash Kora by trekking through the Yam Dwar to Dirapuk Monastery (4920 m). Stunning views of the north face of Mt. Kailash (6,638m) dominate the route.

JUNE 29: Wake up early this morning and then start your trek towards Zuthulphuk (4790 m) from Dirapuk. On the way, you are going to spot Gauri Kund while descending from Dolma La Pass (the trek’s highest point, 5645 m). Arrive at Zuthulphuk in the evening and then stay overnight at a dormitory-styled guesthouse.

JUNE 30: This day marks the end of your parikrama, as today is the last day of your trek. Wake up as per your comfort, have some decent breakfast, and then indulge in a trek, having a tenure of approx. 4-5 hours in order to reach Darchen. During your trek towards Darchen, you shall be picked up by our vehicle from the midway and drop you at Darchen. On your arrival at Darchen, have some lunch and later drive towards Saga, accompanied by the completion of the remaining 30% of Lake Manasarovar’s Parikrama. Overnight stay at a dormitory-styled guesthouse.

JULY 1:  Drive through the arid landscapes of western Tibet and descend back to the verdant border town of Keyrong. Enjoy the lower altitude and rest well. Overnight stay at a dormitory-styled guesthouse.

However, we are not responsible for any cancellation due to any industrial disputes, Technical failure of any type of transport we use, loss of earnings, late arrivals or force majeure, any regulations by Tibetian or Chinese authorities, or any items beyond our control. After booking, if you wish to cancel your trip, you must notify Trip To Temples in writing. Once Trip To Temples receives your notice, the cancellation will take effect subject to the following:

•  If cancellation takes place in between 60 – 150 days prior to your departure date, 80% of deposited money will be refunded.
• If cancellation takes place in between 30-60 days prior to departure 50% of your deposited money will be refunded.
• If cancellation takes place less than 30 days before departure due to the client’s problems, all previously paid amount(s) will be forfeited.
